Social Media Assistant

I am looking for someone to help streamline my content creation process so I can focus on the parts that I am best at and enjoy the most – coaching, and thinking about climbing.

About my social media presence: I have a unique voice in the climbing space and I intentionally avoid conforming to some algorithmic trends. My audience expects this and I am not interested in a change of voice. For instance, I am not interested in reducing the quality of my content in order to increase post frequency. A motivated and engaged audience is more useful to me than a big one. I want to maintain general creative control and partner with someone who can help me execute on that vision.

About the work: I anticipate this will be 2-5 hours a week of work, with a monthly cap. Plus you can ask me all your climbing & strength training questions. Email me coachjfire@gmail.com with the subject line social media help to apply. Thanks!

Skills:

  • Good written communication skills – no typos or grammatical errors
  • Photoshop – I’m open to other platforms if necessary, but I currently use PSDs for everything
  • Instagram – solid understanding of the posts, stories and reels interfaces
  • Basic video editing – this will be necessary.
  • Basic internet stuff (Google Photos & Drive, etc.)

Nice to haves:

  • Familiar with my content
  • General web fluency – WordPress content management, etc
  • Podcast editing (Riverside fm)
  • Social media advisory experience (despite the opening diatribe, I’m open to having my mind changed about SM things)

Tasks:

  • Turning my ideas/writing into new SM posts
  • Identifying useful old SM posts and reposting them
  • Using a template to create SM posts for the podcast

Possible tasks:

  • Editing & posting the podcast
  • Organizing things for me like my AMA shows
  • Taking screenshares / video reviews / lectures and posting them on Patreon
  • Porting the podcast to YouTube, expanding into a private feed podcast, etc.
  • Coming up with new types of content that I can execute on
  • Lots of room to expand if the relationship is fruitful. My business has grown 30% YOY 4 years in a row.
