Redpoint Doubles Hardstyle

Problem selection:

For each set, you will pick two problems. How well you know the problems will greatly affect the difficulty of the drill, so select problems that you’re familiar with or repeat the same problems if you’re new to the drill.

If a particular style is not indicated by your plan, pick problems of varying styles. Problems may need to be slightly easier or less steep near the end of the session.

Climbing:

For each set, you will climb both problems twice back to back (e.g. A B A B.) Only take long enough to chalk up between problems.

Rest 5-6 minutes between sets or about 25% longer than it took to climb – e.g. a 4:3 work to rest ratio.

This is a high-intensity exercise, and it’s okay to fail. You should usually send all the problems on the first set. For later sets, you should almost always send the first problem; on the second and beyond, fatigue will set in and you may fall.

If you fall (beyond a mulligan) move on to the next problem in the set. If you fall early in the next problem either the problems are too hard or the session quality has dropped beyond its value.

Combination:

This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
