Progressive Board Session D

Problem selection:

For this workout, you will try to repeat problems on a board of your choice, around 40 degrees overhanging. The problems should be 1-2 grades below your max on that board; you will probably fall, but should get a good number of sends too.

Climbing:

For each problem, you’ll climb it three times:

  1. The first time, with open feet
  2. The second time with the specified feet for the problem
  3. The third time with open feet, but you must walk both feet to foot jibs before placing them on other footholds

This means even 4-5 problems is quite a workout on a board (5×3 = 15 laps.)

Rest until recovered before each attempt. This means at least 2-3 minutes. Use a timer if you need to. You need to make your tries count.

This session may optionally be combined with Confident Feet for difficult sections or for the foot-jib-only repeat, to create a footwork-oriented capacity session.

Combination:

This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
