Progressive Board Session A

Problem selection:

For this workout, you will try to repeat problems on a board of your choice, around 40 degrees overhanging. The problems should be 1-2 grades below your max on that board; you should be able to send on around 75% of the reps (including the open-feet reps, which should be easier.)

Climbing:

You will alternate between problems you’re familiar with, and new problems. For each problem, you’ll climb it twice: the first time, with open feet, and the second time with the specified feet for the problem. So: old problem open feet, old problem limited feet, new problem open feet, new problem limited feet, etc. Continue rotating through problems for the specified number of reps.

Rest until recovered before each attempt. This means at least 2-3 minutes. Use a timer if you need to. You need to make your tries count.

Combination:

This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
