Problem selection:
For this workout, you will try to repeat problems on a board of your choice, around 40 degrees overhanging. The problems should be accessible for you on that board, but having open feet will make that grade range a little wider than usual.
Climbing:
Climb each problem, from bottom to top, but using open feet rather than the set feet on the problem. You should still visualize your entire sequence and choose the footholds you’ll use ahead of time. You may want to repeat problems week to week to dial in the exact feet, since you’ll have lots of choices.
Rest until recovered before each attempt. This means at least 2-3 minutes. Use a timer if you need to. You need to make your tries count.
Combination:
This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
