Problem selection:
Due to the nature of vert/slab climbing, this session lends itself to steeper climbing. Select difficulty as indicated by your plan. Try to pick a variety of hold and foothold types.
In general try to pick climbs where it will be possible to keep your feet on, but sometimes difficult or complex. Try not to pick problems with dynos or foot-cutting movements.
Climbing:
Climb as you usually would, but with the rule of never cutting your feet. If the climb is forced as a dyno or foot-cutting movement, it’s OK to perform that move as forced – but avoid these problems when possible.
Focus:
Tension through the feet. You may need to come up with alternate foot sequences to keep tension through the entire climb. Engage your legs and trunk muscles, and breathe!
Combination:
This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
