Low Gear Midline

For this drill, you will make up your own problems on a spray wall or training board.

This is an all feet drill. Choose holds that are in a rough vertical line. There are three progressions:

1. Left hand on one bolt line, right hand on the next bolt line to the right.

2. Both hands on the same bolt line.

3. Crossing center line with each move (hands are crossed for all foot movements.)

Move deliberately and slowly. No cutting loose, jumping or thrutchy movements. Rest between reps until recovered, at least 2-3 minutes.

Keep the feet in a nice stable triangle underneath the main handhold. Stay stable during foot moves. You should not be struggling to hold on to the holds, but rather creating a lot of body tension and remaining stable at all times.

You should not fail. We are looking for time under tension here, not power.
