Problem selection:
| 4 problems | Working -1 grade | 3 tries each |
| 4 problems | Working -2 grades | 2 tries each |
| 4 problems | Working -3 grades | 1 try each |
| 4 problems | Working -4 grades | 1 try each |
“Working grade” should be the hardest grade you can consistently climb in this gym in a few tries or a short session.
e.g. if your consistent working grade in this gym was V7, in order your session would be:
- Four V6s, three tries each
- Four V5s, two tries each
- Four V4s, one try each
- Four V3s, one try each
Climbing:
Rest at least 2 minutes between problems/tries. Rest 3-5 minutes between ladder rungs. This is a high power exercise, so rest until you are ready to give high quality effort.
If you send a problem, move on to the next one (or the next rung.) If you fall, rest and try that problem again until you’re out of tries.
Focus:
Try to use a mix of new problems, and familiar ones. Focus on the quality of your movement, and don’t stress sending. The way you move on the problem is what matters the most.
This is a high-intensity session. You may fail some.
When your power drops significantly, end the session.
Combination:
This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
