Problem selection:
3 problems | Working -3 grade | 1 try each |
3 problems | Working grade | 10-15 minutes each |
3 problems | Working -1 grade | 3 tries each |
3 problems | Working -2 grade | 2 tries each |
“Working grade” should be the hardest grade you can consistently climb on your board of choice in a few tries or a short session.
e.g. if your consistent working grade on the board was V7, in order your session would be:
- Three V4s, one try each
- Three V7s, 10-15 minutes each
- Three V6s, three tries each
- Three V5s, two tries each
Climbing:
Rest 1-2 minutes between tries. Rest 3-5 minutes between ladder rungs.
Focus:
Try to use a mix of new problems, and familiar ones. Focus on the quality of your movement, and don’t stress sending. You can always come back to problems later. The way you move on the problem is what matters the most.
This is a high-intensity session. You are expected to fail some.
Combination:
This is a general session and can be combined with any session. Perform after warming up and before any conditioning.
