Conscious Breathing

1. Before you start climbing, take 5-10 conscious, deep breaths through your nose. Do this after you put your shoes on, tie in, etc.

2. As you grab the first hold of the climb, take another conscious breath.

3. Continue breathing deeply as you begin climbing. Whether resting and relaxing or moving actively through holds, let your breathing be powerful.

4. When resting, look for areas of your body that you can “breathe into.”

5. When moving, just keep the breathing continuous.
